Economic Development

Economic development is an important responsibility of the State’s flagship academic institution. The University of Alabama seeks to prepare a job-ready workforce, extend programs to serve rural and urban communities, forge research partnerships, transfer technologies, foster innovation and scholarship, build small businesses, support industry, and create jobs.

Community Partnerships

Advisory Committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The presidential advisory committee was created to support ongoing coordination and expansion of efforts related to diversity, equity and inclusion. The committee will advance specific plans and strategies, and propose solutions with measurable objectives to help enrich the campus learning and work environments by providing an accepting, inclusive community that attracts and supports a diverse faculty, staff and student body.
